Eaton is seeking a Regional Continuous Improvement Manager for their Crouse Hinds business within Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS). This position may be based at our Syracuse, NY; Roanoke, VA; or Amarillo, TX facility. Relocation assistance will be provided.


Reporting to the Director of Operations for Crouse-Hinds, the incumbent will be responsible for building a culture for Continuous Improvement across 6 manufacturing plants. The CI Leader will leverage Lean/Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Framework strategies to improve competitiveness and organizational capability. Travel up to 50% will be required.


Essential Functions:

  • Coach and support the Crouse Hinds plants in developing their CI roadmaps and setting stretch goals to support the organization's strategy for model plant status
  • Conduct reviews and process checks to ensure sites are maintaining their standards and action plans are in place to move to improve
  • Implement Rapid Improvement Events (RIE), Kaizen, Business Process Improvements and End 2 End Workshops to drive continuous improvement and overall competitiveness
  • Promote process standardization across the organization and integrate Industry 4.0 solutions into the operating system model in collaboration with manufacturing engineering and the GEIS CI team
  • Support Site Leadership in the selection of Site CI leaders and provide key input to identify potential candidates for CI certification programs to feed succession planning and development planning
  • Lead monthly operations reviews for CI from each site to review, update progress and performance to the recovery objectives.
  • Lead the division in all Eaton business internal audit requirements, ensuring plant teams are prepared
  • Support Sites for the Strategy Deployment process ensuring they identify stretch objectives and stay aligned to organizational objectives


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing/Operations, Continuous Improvement, and/or Manufacturing Engineering is required
  • Minimum 5 years of plant manufacturing leadership experience is required
  • Certified Black Belt
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
