YAI has an opening for a Regional Compliance Supervisor. The Regional Compliance Supervisor reports directly to the Regional Compliance Manager and the Director of Compliance and Ethics, and is responsible for compliance activities within the region, including responsibility for the regional record retention & destruction activities, carrying out a compliance program within the region and maintaining a strong relationship with the programs and the Quality and Training staff within their regions. The Regional Compliance Supervisor will support the following locations Manhattan, Brooklyn and Manhattan Schools. Most of the work will be done for the NYC region.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating and implementing a compliance program within the region under the supervision of the Regional Compliance Manager and Director of Compliance and Ethics.
  • Implementing the regional record retention & destruction for the region
  • Identifying and communicating non-compliance with regulations or agency policy in a timely manner to supervisors
  • Conducting onsite reviews at assigned locations to ensure to provide oversight and support to the programs in the region.
  • Reporting and, if requested, investigating compliance and HIPAA incidents within the region
  • Working closely with the quality & training managers within the region
  • Meeting regularly with the Regional Compliance Manager, Director of Compliance & Ethics and/or the Chief Quality, Compliance and Ethics Officer
  • Providing reports to the Regional Compliance Manager, Director of Compliance & Ethics and/or the Chief Quality, Compliance and Ethics Officer as requested,
  • Develops an annual report to the Regional Compliance Manager, Director of Compliance & Ethics and/or the Chief Quality, Compliance and Ethics Officer at the end of the calendar year, as well as a compliance plan for the coming year for use in developing the agency wide annual risk assessment
  • Attending meetings and trainings as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned related to compliance

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree and/or CHC accreditation a plus
  • Three (3) years relevant work experience in compliance; At least one of those years must be working within the IDD/OPWDD field.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of OPWDD and other funders’ regulations and billing standards • Strong, effective written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to travel to locations throughout the YAI network as assigned
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel required. Ability to quickly grasp and use new software systems
  • Must have excellent technical, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize; must be deadline-oriented
  • Self-starter and must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented, ability to work well under pressure a must and able to function in an intense environment
  • Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality • Possesses professional integrity, independent thinking skills and commitment to objectivity.

Salary:

70,000K Annually

Pay: $68,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:
