The transaction is anticipated to close early in the second calendar quarter of 2023. Upon closing of the acquisition, Post expects to create a new pet food platform within Post Consumer Brands. This role is part of the team of 1,000 employees who will soon join the Post family to focus on and grow these iconic pet brands.

Location Description:
The Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania facility is 1,120,845 square feet and home to about 470 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits® and 9Lives®. This location has a cannery that produces wet dog food and there is also a Distribution Center on-site. Bloomsburg is home to Bloomsburg University, a municipal airport, a landmark Town Park with many acres of recreational activities, and has one of the largest and longest running fairs in the country. Responsibilities:
OVERVIEW:
The Regional Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager oversees the CI vision, strategic planning and implementation of strategy to support the overall performance improvement objectives for their assigned manufacturing plants. This position advises Plant Leadership on strategic direction. The Regional CI Manager coaches and mentors staff on lean methodology, tools, root-cause analysis and waste reduction to achieve sustainable and continued improvements in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth. This Regional CI Manager coordinates training and development of all team members in understanding and capitalizing on CI methods. This position will also, in the interim, provide PMO support to the Manufacturing Transformation Team.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
:
  • Leads the continuous improvement process for assigned plants (e.g., behaviors, attitude and culture), working with staff and operations to develop, implement and sustain a continuous improvement program based upon lean principles that supports meeting plant goals and targets.
  • Leads, identifies, and defines scope of continuous improvement planning and activities.
  • Primary owner in leading and/or coordinating continuous improvement activities.
  • Easily identifies opportunities and works closely with technical resources to help drive efficiencies and best practices.
  • Teaches and models root cause analysis, problem solving, actions to prevent recurrence, standard work, and follow-up. Viewed as an expert in these areas and speaks with authority and confidence when engaging others.
  • Works with the Engineering team and manages a Continuous Improvement docket for the plant and tracks savings.
  • Be a change agent that challenges existing processes that create waste and non-value-added work.
  • Coaches, guides and/or leads cross functional teams to achieve resolution of assigned projects.
  • Lead focused efforts aimed at breakthrough and incremental improvements in process, department and/or line-specific opportunities that meet and exceed plant operational performance metrics.
  • Monitor data and metrics to identify areas of waste and prioritize the development and implementation of solutions.
  • Teaches and models tools and concepts of Lean Thinking and Six Sigma, facilitates kaizen events
  • Provide appropriate documentation and project update communication to Operations leadership. Collaborates with all departments and individuals affected by CI projects.
  • Share best practices and build relationships with CI resources at all PCB facilities.
  • Provides PMO oversight to the Manufacturing Transition Team which includes updating the project Gannt chart and project communication documents as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
4-year degree in science, engineering, management, or related field recommended.

EXPERIENCE:
5-10 years combined related work experience in manufacturing environment including a minimum of 3-5 years of successful leadership in executing continuous improvement/Lean Six Sigma efforts and enabling efficiency, effectiveness, and tangible financial benefits.

Because this role is regional and has multi-plant responsibility, travel is expected and estimated to be 30 to 50 percent.
