Ettie Lee Youth & Family Services has served the complex needs of at-risk youth with emotional and behavioral problems and their families throughout Southern California for nearly 70 years.

Currently, Ettie Lee is seeking a Case Manager for its Office of Refugee Resettlement Program (ORR) at its Baldwin Park and Azusa locations.

The Position:

The Case Manager will work with unaccompanied children (UC) and assist in structuring case management services in a collaborative team effort. This may include admission, orientation and scheduling protocols. The Case Manager is vital in setting the tone, direction and priorities of the UC by utilizing a Trauma-Informed Approach. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the case management services and the safe and timely release services of the UC.
  • Complete the Intake Assessments and schedule the UC Initial Medical Exams.
  • Coordinate with the clinician the completion of the Assessment for Risk.
  • Coordinates with the Group Home Supervisors and Youth Counselors to supervise and implement all case management services and individual UC case plans.

Case Managers are crucial to the Ettie Lee team as they provide direct care to the youth served. They must come to the position with a great amount of dedication, acceptance and understanding. It is important they are resilient with a great deal of "bounce back" due to the pressures of the work.

Must have the following qualifications:

  • Two years of full-time experience, or it's equivalent working with the population to be served, or equivalent education or experience (experience can be a volunteer staff whose duties required direct supervision and care of the population served) PREFERRED
  • Bachelor's degree in Corrections, Psychology, Social Work or Social Welfare.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass criminal/fingerprinting background check, TB Test, physical exam and drug test
  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License, a minimum of 5 years of driving experience and a DMV record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish)
  • Immunizations for TDaP, MMR and Chicken Pox

Hours and Shifts:

Shifts will vary. 8am-5pm and 2pm-10pm.

***This position is in Azusa and is hybrid (some work at home/some at the office)

Rate: Starting at $21.00/hour
