SUMMARY
The mission of the United States Air Force (AF) is to fly, fight, and win in air, space, and cyberspace domains. The AF/A4C aims to effectively optimize resource allocation and Civil Engineering (CE) programs while modernizing and recapitalizing installation infrastructure, protecting installation from mission degradation, and executing sustainment programs. The real property inventory analyst will provide technical planning and guidance regarding real property accounting, financial reporting, audit processes and procedures and assist with the development of the annual real property reports to OSD.
***An active DoD SECRET Clearance is required for this position***
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Provide strategic planning and guidance about Real Property and audit items.
  • Lead development of the annual Deferred Maintenance & Repair (DM&R) assessment
  • Lead for Construction In Progress and assists with analysis of Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) and Real Property data.
  • Understand and incorporate programmatic guidance and overall policy affecting Real Property Inventory into processes and procedures.
  • Provide updates to leadership and key stakeholders, manage reports, and help support oversight of the program by coordinating meetings, developing minutes, and tracking taskers and action items.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree is highly desired
  • 3+ years of AF Real Property or Asset Management Experience
  • Experience with installation level real property management
  • Experience with Automated Civil Engineer Systems (ACES) database
  • Experience with AF real property accountability and financial reporting, Real Estate planning and Real Property Inventory analysis, assessment, and modeling
  • Higher Headquarters experience highly desired (Air Staff or equivalent)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Excellen t written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical, communication, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Comfortable working with minimal oversight
  • Able to grasp and competently apply policy and regulations
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Requires a Common Access Card (CAC) or the ability to obtain one through a federal investigation.
  • Ability to successfully pass a federal background check and a drug screen
  • Cherokee Federal has suspended it’s COVID mandate. However it’s important to note that Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors. Executive Order 14042 is currently not subject to enforcement by the Federal government. Therefore, Cherokee Federal has suspended application of the mandate and continues to monitor the government’s guidance on administration of any vaccine requirement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation.
  • Local to DC/Virginia/Maryland area is preferred.
  • Work will be performed through a combination of telework and workdays in the Pentagon.
  • Remote work is an option under certain conditions.
  • Ability to operate under a non-disclosure agreement if required.
