Entry-level Retail and Consumer Goods Technical Analyst

Position Overview

Retail and Consumer Goods industry is rapidly changing as consumer shopping preference, global supply chain challenges followed by sustainability agenda. Within our retail and consumer goods industry segment, we work with leading product vendors and build solutions to support our clients in the digital journey. We are working on all the key value chain elements starting from planning to consumption consideration all elements of Merchandising, Supply Chain and Physical and Digital stores. Cognizant helps organizations to implement the industry's leading tools and products and configure it to implement industry best practices and align it to their digital journey.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Preferred majors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems

Candidate should possess strong Java application development skills (e.g., Core Java/J2EE technologies & Spring framework); as well as hands on demonstrable development experiences (e.g., Python, SQL, Cloud-based such as AWS)

Familiar with Retail, Consumer Goods and Travel & Hospitality domain and strong articulation of requirements and technical writing of documentation?

Understanding of any of the Retail and CG products like Oracle Retail, IBM Sterling Commerce will be an added value

Engage and interact with business stakeholders to understand business requirements, business scenarios, support testing, and training activities

Strong interpersonal communication skills, assertiveness, and prioritization abilities, and can work collaboratively with global project teams

Location(s)

New hires will be deployed to Cognizant office(s)?in Dallas, TX where you will work alongside other experienced Cognizant associates delivering technology solutions.?Applicants must be willing to relocate to the major?geographic area.??

Start Date(s)

New hires will start in two cohorts; June or August 2023. While we will attempt to honor candidate start date?preferences, business need and position availability will determine final start date assignment?of June or August.?Exact start dates will be communicated with enough time for you to plan effectively.

Salary and Other Compensation?

The annual salary for this position is between $73,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.?This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.??
