POSITION DESCRIPTION: Radiology Technologist

Job Title: Radiology Technologist (RT)

Department: Clinical Position Type Full-time

Educational/Qualifications

  • A.A. Degree and graduate from a School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Certificate and/or registration or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT). Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist

(RCIS), preferred but not mandatory.

  • BCLS and ACLS Certificate, mandatory.
  • 1 - 2 years Cath Lab and/or interventional radiology experience required; Previous Cath Lab experience.
  • Basic computer skills.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Must be willing to travel to other locations as needed.
  • Performs radiographic procedures as prescribed by the physician. Assist the physician in the performance of adult endovascular procedures and serve as scrub technician during procedures.
  • Maintain the C-Arm and ultrasound equipment and perform testing and/or quality control procedures.
  • Perform in accordance with all policies and procedures, applicable statues and regulations, and the Clinic’s Compliance,

Infection Control, and Quality and Performance Improvement Programs.

  • Maintains technique charts in rooms in compliance with state law.
  • Review, edit and validate inventory management documentation to ensure accurate patient supply charge entry and par levels on a daily basis, utilizing the clinic’s vendors and inventory management system.
  • Effectively communicate with kindness, empathy and patiently to accurately explain to the patient what they are about to experience. Also, clearly communicate test results to doctors and staff.
  • Ensures that informed consent has been obtained on the patient prior to the procedure and all questions and concerns have been answered.
  • Apply knowledge of radiation physics, safety regulations, and policies and procedures regarding radiation safety to limit radiation exposure to the patient, staff and general public to as low as reasonably achievable and exercises distraction and judgement in the performance or radiographic procedures.
  • Implement safe and efficient procedure care to interventional radiology patients w/in Modern Vascular policies & procedures across a variety of populations & complexity of situations w/in the scope of practice.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.24 - $39.55 per hour
