The Radiation Therapist works with the team of specialists to deliver high quality radiation therapy to oncology patients, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment in a beautiful setting with the goal to achieve the best possible patient experience and outcome.

All staff members at Yakima Valley Memorial must be in compliance with the Vaccination Policy, which includes the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccine, by their first day of employment.

Actual pay rate will be calculated based on relevant years of experience and education/certification requirements.

ROLE SUMMARY

A rare opportunity to work at an outstanding hospital based outpatient department with exceptional staff with very low turnover, including five radiation therapists, two dosimetrists, two physicists, two registered nurses, and 2 radiation ocncologists.

The Radiation Therapist delivers ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist under the supervision of the Manager of Radiation Oncology Therapy at North Star Lodge.

The therapist will work with the team to deliver linear accelerator based radiation therapy, including IMRT, IGRT, SRS & SBRT, and brachytherapy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) Radiation Therapy Technology program or its equivalent.

Experience: Previous experience in Radiation Therapy preferred.

Licenses/Certificates/Registration: American Registry of Radiological Technologists in Radiation Therapy or equivalent required. Washington State (DOH) licensure eligibility required. American Hearth Association BLS required.
