This opportunity is within Robotics and Digital Solutions (RAD) Program Management - Vision and the preferred location for this role is Santa Clara CA however other locations may be considered (e.g. Cincinnati OH, Raynham MA, etc.). By combining advancements in medical robotics, instrumentation, navigation and data science, the RAD franchise is building a platform technology capable of expanding the applicability of robotics to a spectrum of medical procedures.

The Program Manager will be a core member of the surgical vision team, responsible for the design and development of the RAD vision solution from concept generation to launch. The role will be accountable for developing end to end schedules and breaking them down into concrete quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs). The individual will bring to bear a hybrid Agile methodology to focus and drive the teams to achieve important short-term achievements that are critical to the success of the overall development plan and strategy. In collaboration with the team, the Program Manager will be responsible for risk management and mitigation which requires contingency planning, conflict resolution, and tradeoff assessments.

Another aspect of this role is being a champion of the team and building strong relationships with peers and cross functional partners. The individual needs to be willing to challenge and communicate difficult decisions, strategies, and priorities while maintaining a culture of collaboration and end to end accountability. With other team leaders the individual should create a positive team environment and a culture with a sense of urgency, driving toward improved team effectiveness and achievement.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering or related discipline is required
  • A minimum of 3 years of prior program management experience of is required, but it is preferred that candidates have 5 years of program management experience.
  • Experience with MSP required.
  • Prior experience in a regulated environment is required.
  • High performer and leader with demonstrated ability to manage a complex program in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects/sub-projects simultaneously within timelines is required.
  • Candidate must demonstrate influence and conflict resolution skills and ability to work collaboratively to align diverse stakeholders and lead teams without direct reporting authority.
  • Experience working in an engineering capacity is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Agile methodology is preferred
  • Previous experience with Jira software tool is preferred.
  • Medical device experience is preferred.
  • The strongly preferred location for this position is STC, CA however other locations may be considered.
  • This position may require up to 25% travel..
