Start your new career with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment! Quality Supervisor will be part of the Aircraft Maintenance Team supporting U-2 Aircraft Repair and Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) Operations at Beale Air Force Base, California.

Responsibilities include:

• Will be responsible for program and aircraft quality assurance. Will be the face for quality at this location.
• Supervise Inspectors performing Quality Assurance activities in accordance with applicable Technical Data. Ensure aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight.
• Requires ability to identify and understand non-conformities as they relate to safety-of-flight inspections, procedural breakdowns, and/or program (process) audits.
• Conducts inspections, incident and/or mishap investigation audits, prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed process, recalls, corrective actions, and validations.
• Requires the ability to evaluate process compliance, write/review Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA) reports, perform root cause analysis and validate quality processes, responses, and plans.
• Conduct inspector hiring interviews and performance actions.
• Considered candidates must be capable of working first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shift(s) dependent on customer needs.
• Temporary Duty/ business travel may be required.
• Must have at least an Interim Secret Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

• Minimum 5-years aircraft operations experience (Quality Assurance, Inspections or Maintenance)
• Experience in a leadership role
• Knowledge of Safety, Training, FOD & Tool Control procedures and Time Accounting.
• Experience in reading and comprehending blueprints, engineering specifications and drawings, technical data and planning documents
• Working knowledge of Quality Engineering methods, processes and tools
• Experience with DCMA 8210 Quality systems and audits
• Experience in using various inspection measurement tools

Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from other candidates:

• Experience with AS9100
• Aircraft PDM and Quality Assurance experience.
• Experience in U-2 PDM Quality processes and procedures.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Prior Q&MS Leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Department of Defense policies and procedures.
• Experience interacting with customers: preferably with DCMA or other Government agencies.
• Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
