Allegiance Staffing is currently seeking a Quality Specialist in Montgomery, Alabama! This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Specialist to work with an established, well respected company in the area.

Quality Specialist Responsibilities:

• Serves as contact for all quality, food safety, and regulatory issues
• Conducts activities involving assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
• Assists in development and implementation of company and regulatory quality standards
• Maintains and ensures compliance of a qualified HACCP program
• Works to ensure the effectiveness of the master sanitation and pest control programs throughout the facility
• Collects and analyzes Quality Assurance data from manufacturing processes to measure, access, control, and improve product quality performance
• Communicates compliance results to the Quality Manager and Operations
• Utilizes customer and consumer complaint data to identify root cause, then communicates and provides support to implement improvements
• Helps to maintain a Quality and Product Safety System that consistently meets regulatory, customer, and third party audit requirements; and function as an internal auditor
• Train employees on food safety, food quality, and company processes
• Assist with research and development for improvement of existing and new products
• Inform management of any food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become non compliant

Quality Specialist Requirements:

• Associates degree required, Bachelor of Science in Food Science or related field is preferred; OR a minimum of 3 to 5 years in food processing with at least 1 year in Quality Control
• Experience in federal and state food safety regulations
• Experience with SQF and validating changes to food safety and defense programs
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with all levels of the organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint
• Covid-19 Vaccination is required for employment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to be able to provide support across all shifts
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs, with occasional pushing or pulling and climbing ladders up to 30 feet.
