Job Purpose Statement

The Quality team member is responsible for conducting and reporting on inspections and audits of the production department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check first piece to ensure correctness and conformance to specifications.
  • Conduct random audits of production using check-off sheet.
  • Record any variance from specifications. Take follow-up action to ensure corrective actions.
  • Inform Area Production Supervisor if product is out of specification.
  • Place product on hold if found out of specification.
  • Report unresolved quality problems to Quality Manager.
  • Perform measurement on tooling as required.
  • Inspect incoming material for compliance with specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawing and sketches.
  • Check chemical process results and report out of specification conditions.
  • Calibrate and control all inspection gauges and other inspection test equipment.
  • Fill out proper documentation such as Hold Tag and Form 19 if product is out of specification.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

Required Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software, quality specifications and measuring equipment

Desired Experience and Education

  • Previous quality auditing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Carlisle operations and Quality procedures.
  • Training and experience in quality and/or auditing functions.
  • Familiar with Carlisle’s Operating System (COS) and the company’s Key Performance Indicators
