Chemours is seeking a(n) Quality Improvement Leader to join our APM Global Quality team! This position will report directly to the APM & TSS Global Quality Director.
The Quality Improvement Leader

Ensures quality is achieved for new products through guided ownership of quality in New Product Development (NPD) process
-
Support the product launch and commercialization processes, including commercialization readiness validation and verification and readiness to operate assessment, both at Chemours and at contract manufacturing locations.

Participates in all quality aspects of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), such as leading Design FMEA, guiding the work of determining control strategies for new products to address unique market and customer quality requirements.

Drives programs and discrete projects to improve product quality, and to solve chronic quality problems of the APM Chemours manufacturing and contract manufacturing sites.

Ensures ops. quality improvement efforts and business critical quality programs are timely executed
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
-
Works with NPD Delivery managers to ensure that new Chemours® products are developed with the efficient and effective use of proven quality tools
-
Ensures quality deliverables are timely and purposefully completed, and quality related risks are clearly highlighted, understood and mitigated where possible throughout the NPD stages.

Lead improvement for quality related aspects of contract manufacturer relationship (quality capability assessment, qualification, audits, quality incident investigation)

Drive product line perspective on quality (consistency and uniformity across product lines)

Coordinates the use of multi-disciplinary teams to solve escalated chronic and strategic quality problems for APM operations including customer, supplier, and internal interfaces.

Drive efforts to reduce product variability, chronic product quality issues,

Performs audits, gap assessments and quality analysis work as needed.

Support and oversees critical to business quality projects – actively removes roadblocks

Builds quality competence across the business through training and active coaching of employees in quality related disciplines, including core quality tools
The following is
required for this role:
-
BS degree in engineering or chemistry or 5-10 years of relevant quality experience
-
Experience with New Product Development and commercialization, scale up and product qualification
-
Demonstrated (able to lead, coach and train) knowledge with advanced quality methods and tools such as FMEA, SPC, APQP, MSA, PPAP
-
Quality critical manufacturing experience (Automotive, Aerospace)

Demonstrated statistical analysis/control experience (e.g. Six Sigma Certification)

Strong project management and problem-solving skill

Strong communication skills

Continuous manufacturing process / bulk manufacturing quality experience

ISO 9001 / IATF 16949/ GMP auditing experience
