Job Summary:

A Quality Engineer works within the quality team to ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product (EV Battery Module/Pack) and is tasked with creating documentation, devising quality tests and defining the criteria a test result should meet. This job also plays a key role in fixing issues when they arise. A Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the organization meets the established goals, KPI, Mission etc. and complies with QMS (Quality management system) thru audit, communication, collaboration with internal members, organization and HQ. It is also requires verifying quality standards in accordance with the requirements of the organization and communicating effectively within all levels of organization to discuss and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking Quality Engineers to work at our state of the art Lithium-Ion battery plant in Holland and Hazel Park, MI. This position will be responsible for work that includes but not limited:

• Data analysis and creative problem solving skills
• Audit and support organization’s quality standard compliance periodically
• Train operators to perform inspection equipment continuously
• Continuously train operators to perform products (Battery module/Pack) based on in line and outgoing inspection procedure
• In line return and/or Field return sample analysis and documentation in accordance with the company procedures
• Lead process investigations to improve process stability and capabilities on products

• Review and suggest a revision (if needed) of inspection standards, CP, and/or PFMEA

• Conduct inspection and cause analysis regarding product quality non-conforming issues
• Continuously monitor and improve the SPC (Statistical Process Control)
• Close communication with multi-functional teams to follow up and make orders, reports required from internal organization and HQ.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Self-starter, motivator and must be well organized
• Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and co-workers in a prompt and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Material, Industrial, Electrical or Electronic engineering or equivalent or experience

• Experience and knowledge of IATF 16949, Control Plan, PFMEA, CTQ, CTP, SPC, Core tools of automotive industry plus
• Knowledge of automated equipment troubleshooting and production data analysis capability a plus
• Positive, dedicated attitude and demonstrated effectiveness to achieve given goals within due dates
• The willingness and ability to work flexible hours occasionally to support team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (Communicate with HQ and Customers via conference call)
• Good capability to use MS-office and Minitab program plus
• Bilingual (Korean/English) plus
