Mission:
Understand, improve, and tightly execute Quality related processes to support delivery of product, improve customer satisfaction, and achieve internal business goals. Plan for and ensure the quality of product through collaborative partnerships with customers, suppliers and internal departments.

This is a hands on role that works with a team of quality engineers, development engineer, process engineers, technicians and inspectors that are engaged through the entire life cycle of product, starting during development, continuing with transitioning of product to manufacturing, and then supporting the continuous manufacture of product.

Job Summary:
During product development, this role participates in guiding the design for quality, manufacturability and producibility, while ensuring suppliers and processes are capable of meeting requirements and applicable standards and regulations. After the initial design and development is complete, transitioning the product to manufacturing is a critical aspect of this role. You will become a key technical interface between engineering development and operations, provide metrics/feedback to the organization, and leading improvement.

During manufacturing, this role works to improve process capability, repeatability, and efficiency as well as product quality. This is accomplished by working with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and the customer. This role will focus on delivering quality product that meets customer requirements, identifying opportunities for yield improvement, process improvement, and product cost-reduction methods. An emphasis for this role is developing/improving underlying practices and processes to enable consistency, efficiency and ability to scale.

This role will participate and/or lead failure analysis in manufacturing, interface with manufacturing and quality personnel to train and transfer processes & knowledge, and engage with suppliers to drive improvement and implement process controls.

Job Responsibility:
  • Support the development, update, and implementation of product quality plans.
  • Development of inspection procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate definition of inspection criteria.
  • Participate in and perform both mechanical and electrical hardware inspection
  • Support the development of First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Provide support to inspection personnel and assembly workers as a Quaity Engineering resource.
  • Perform contract reviews as well as drawings and specifications review.
  • Participate in root-cause, failure analysis, and corrective action processes using 8D methodology.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Support internal AS audits
  • Prepare for and Lead Pre-Cap and Source Inspections internally and off-site as customer and supplier.
  • Complete all tasks with integrity and in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager
  • Must be able to work onsite in our Hudson, NH location.
Required Qualification:
  • 5+ years related/relevant work experience or Bachelor's in technical discipline with 0-2 years related work experience
  • Effective communication with various disciplines within the organization including but not limited to Hardware/Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, and Program Management.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Familiar with relevant manufacturing processes such as soldering, plastic molding, machining, brazing/welding, painting, plating, manufacture of PCBAs.
  • Ability to report discrepancies in company system
  • Ability to handle various "form type" documentation - Internal Forms - Customer Forms - Supplier Forms
  • Ability to prioritize daily workload with minimal direction
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to create concise, accurate written documents of high quality
