Lallemand Biofuels & Distilled Spirits, a division of Lallemand, manufactures, sells, and distributes fermentation processing aids to the global biofuel and distilled spirits industries. The Lallemand yeast production facility in Wahpeton, ND is hiring a scientist for its QA/QC lab. We are expanding our quality control capabilities at this facility and are looking to increase staff accordingly. This position would offer several unique opportunities in the area of yeast science and industrial microbiology. An ideal candidate for this position would be someone who can work independently, manage the quality control testing schedule, but also be able to integrate with the production team to better coordinate quality control testing to ensure the best quality results are provided in the minimum amount of time. Multiple years of experience in microbiology, particularly with a focus on yeast and/or fermentation technology, is required; other beneficial skills would include: HPLC operation, quality control testing, and data management.

· Manage the setup, scheduling, and execution of quality control testing of new fuel and beverage yeast productions

· Be able to manage and apply diverse protocols where appropriate

· Develop and implement new quality control testing to improve response time in identifying possible production issues; or a lack thereof

· Integrate with the production team to identify possible areas to improve quality control offerings and improve QC release times

· Process samples for analytical analysis and help maintain HPLC equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
