We are looking for a Quality Control Partner to join our Audit and Attest Department. As a Quality Control Partner, you will be responsible for providing excellent client service. We welcome qualified professionals that would work from one of our offices or that may be domiciled in other parts of the country for work on a fully remote basis. This position is part of our firm-wide Quality Control Department and reports to the Firm's Partner-in-Charge of Quality. The position also interfaces closely with the Managing Partners of the office.

NOTE: This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

• Review workpapers and financial statements for compliance with professional and firm standards.
• Maintain up-to-date standards of proficiency in the areas of accounting and auditing while keeping the Firm in compliance with quality control elements.
• Serve as a technical resource to the audit and accounting department on research and technical issues.
• Must be able to deal with a high volume of work under very tight deadlines and the ability to manage upward.
• Assist with internal quality programs to achieve strategic objectives through initiatives designed to meet Firm goals.
• Research and present topics for internal continuing professional education seminars.
• Assist with the implementation of new audit, accounting, and other professional standards.
• Review the Firm's system of quality control and specific engagements during the annual internal inspection.
• Assist in the Firm-wide monitoring of our Accounting and Auditing practice and provide support in connection with peer review, PCAOB inspection and other regulatory oversight.
• Identify areas that need or could benefit from quality improvement and develop and propose practice aids, tools to affect practical changes

Qualifications:

• CPA license is required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
• 12+ years of Public Accounting experience, with no less than 3 years in the Quality Control function
• Broad and deep understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America and ability to research complex accounting and auditing issues in a wide range of industries
• Experience with commercial entities (manufacturing, distribution, real estate, construction, technology) is required; employee benefit plans, not for profits or financial services is a plus
• Knowledge of IFRS and/or International Standards on Auditing is a plus
• Knowledgeable about advanced auditing approaches
• Knowledge of PCAOB standards is a plus, but not required
• Experience with PPC practice aids and tools is a plus
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Pragmatic – rapidly differentiate, focus on and bring to resolution difficult issues
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic
• Demonstrates leadership ability, confidence and executive presence.
