O&W Heat Treat, Inc. is a metallurgical processing company, providing heat treating and brazing services to the aircraft engine industry (P&W, GE, Rolls Royce, Honeywell, etc.), airframe (Boeing), space vehicle (UTAS, Aerojet Rocketdyne) medical, nuclear and computer industries. Therefore, the hardware we deal with in our plant is of a very CRITICAL nature, and the Certifications we prepare must be completely accurate and properly formatted.

QCM: Duties and Requirements Include the Following:

The Quality Manager role is a departmental leader that will implement industry best practices for inspection methods, quality documentation, and operation of AS9100/AS13100 systems to direct the people and processes that support the metallurgical processing of customer-manufactured components.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Investigate internal non-conformances, supplier-detected non-conformances and customer escapes.
• Manage daily inspection priorities and practices to support operations.
• Interpret Customer/Prime operations sheets, drawings, specifications, and requirements. Ensure compliance is achieved via contract review, traveler approval and internal procedure maintenance and evolution.
• Develop, implement, and train on policies, processes and procedures pertaining to documentation management, measurement, and monitoring of the quality management system.
• Lead and maintain compliance for internal, customer, supplier, and third-party auditing for product and processes. Maintain data, metrics, and scorecards for findings and performance.
• Train new hires, and cross-train team members to balance workloads and ensure progressive growth in staff. Maintain skills matrix and performance management tools for staff.

Requirements:

• B.S. degree in engineering, similar technical discipline, or equivalent experience
• 5 or more years’ experience with applying quality processes and procedures in an AS9100 aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Past supervisory experience highly desirable.
• Experience with Raytheon Technologies (Collins Aerospace/P&W), GE Aviation, Honeywell, Rolls Royce and other aerospace OEM specifications, drawings, contracts, flow-downs, and other requirements including these use of customer portals.
• Understanding of and experience with process evaluation processes such as PFMEA
• Familiarity with Flight Safety and other critical component frozen processes management such as ESA, VSE.
• Aptitude for measurement system analysis (MSA), and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience in achieving compliance through internal/external auditing, management reviews, and the development of the tools, processes, and metrics for measuring compliance.
• Familiarity with export controls requirements including DFAR and ITAR.

Requirements:

• Professional, courteous and friendly demeanor at all times
• Comfortable with frequent interaction with customers and employees via phone, email, and in-person.
• Familiar with office equipment, e.g. personal computers, copy/fax/scan and label printers.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office: Access, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of Word Perfect is a plus.
• Strong multitasking skills.

Experience in a manufacturing office environment is a plus. Knowledge of heat treating terminology is a very strong plus. Will train qualified candidates as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
