Position: Quality Assurance Technician - Industrial

Location: Danvers MA 01923

Duration: 6 months contract

Pay Rate: $26/hr.

Shifts 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a self-motivated Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting all products at our Motion Industry operations and conducting testing procedures during and after manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards. They will work closely with management and engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards and will be responsible for reviewing product and process non-conformance and recommending actions to ensure compliance with all applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings and diagrams to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Dimensionally inspect raw material, finished parts, and tooling using required tooling.
  • Coordinate compliance with all applicable standards such as ISO 9000 and other customer requirements.
  • Review product and process non-conformance and recommend actions to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Select products for testing and inspection at specified stages in production process for variety of qualities.
  • Record results of inspections and maintain an inspection data sheet for each lot of material and tooling inspected.
  • Request changes to QA plans and other required process control procedures to ensure processes meet quality standards.
  • Conduct receiving inspection and testing as required on purchases.
  • Provide technical expertise and transfer knowledge to other members of the operations.
  • Assist in identifying and conducting operations training endeavour’s.
  • Communicate daily with all departments.
  • Perform related duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Thorough knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and warehouse methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently and accountably and inspire high performance from a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $26.00 per hour
