Qualified Behavioral Health Provider (QBHP)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains client case file documentation and records all case management activity daily
• Work closely with DCFS case workers
• Serves as part of the client’s treatment team
• Provides professionally appropriate transportation as necessary to accomplish treatment goals.
• Makes necessary referrals and serves as liaison with other agencies
• Provides timely documentation to support services rendered and provides written reports as required by other agencies (i.e. DCFS, legal systems, etc.)
• Supports medical records’ staff in securing PCP referrals in a timely manner
• Physically capable and willing to teach and assist youth in independent living activities
• Establishes positive relationship with client, family and their support network
• Physically capable of restraining youth if necessary (must be trained in handle with care and follow policy guidelines concerning seclusion/restraint)
• Models stability for client and family with regular sessions
• Empowers client to improve day to day functionality, reducing stressors and increasing ability to focus on treatment goals
• Encourages client compliance with the established treatment plan
• Provide behavioral interventions and crisis stabilization
• Monitors/reports clients behavior in all environments
• Meets weekly billing quotas as established by the Clinical Director and submits Medicaid billing daily
• Participates in weekly staff meetings
• Attends all mandatory trainings.
• Provide 3 hour services per client per week
• Participates in agency performance quality improvement.
• Participates in OCC on-call weekly rotation.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or another related field preferred and a demonstrated ability to work with the target population; This can be offset by work experience at discretion of OCYFS.
• Previous experience billing Medicaid
• 2 years of experience working with “at-risk” youth or other populations with special needs preferred
• Pass a drug screen and maintain a current TB card.
• Must have a current Arkansas Driver’s license and insurable under OCC’s commercial vehicle insurance policy.
• Must receive child maltreatment, adult maltreatment, FBI and Arkansas state police criminal background clearance.

• Works effectively with all agency staff members, clients and families, human services providers, law enforcement, juvenile court(s) and the community-at-large to ensure positive outcomes for clients receiving services.
• Critical thinking skills-uses a logical systematic method for organizing and analyzing information.
• Communication skills-verbal and non-verbal communication in both telephone and face-to-face contacts.
• Ability to collaborate with others to bring about the best client outcomes.
• Demonstrates knowledge of community resources.
• Ability to assess client and family needs and develop case plans that mobilizes community resources and promotes best practice.
• Ability to complete paperwork in a timely manner.
• Practices excellent organizational skills.
• Practices and models conflict resolution skills.
• Follows OCC code of ethics.
• Ability to collect and analyze outcome data.
• Demonstrates cultural sensitivity to OCC’s clients and families.
