Program Evaluator Overview:
The Quality Improvement (QI) Program Evaluator is responsible for all reporting for assigned clinical programs. This includes ongoing data analysis, reporting and monitoring of program outcomes; development and monitoring of program performance indicators adhering to agency Key Performance Indicators, strategic direction, program-specific funder, and accreditation requirements; and development and monitoring of action plan items in collaboration with program leadership to meet process improvement goals.

Key Functions:

  • Develop assessments and surveys for clinical use and data collection purposes.
  • Extract data from multiple datasets using data management tools and canned reports.
  • Data cleaning, validating, and manipulating, including merging multiple datasets, creation of new variables, and re-coding data.
  • Statistical analysis of data to monitor outcomes and determine if changes in outcomes are significant. Frequently used analyses include: descriptive, frequencies, crosstabs, and t-tests.
  • Interpret data outputs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and present reports of statistical findings.
  • Develop and monitor program-level performance indicators that align with agency strategic direction, value-based payment standards, and accreditation standards.
  • Work with program leadership to identify areas of improvement, development, and monitoring of action plans.
  • Build internal relationships to support collaboration with staff and management.
  • Use the Electronic Client Record and other information systems to extract data and effectively accomplish daily tasks.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Statistics, or related behavioral health field.
  • The ideal candidate must have statistical analysis skills and the ability to complete descriptive statistics, frequencies, cross-tabs, t-tests, etc.
  • Analytics: ability to extract data from multiple data sources, clean data in order to merge data for analysis, and perform correct statistical analysis. Experience working with large datasets.
  • Reporting: the ability to take analyzed data and turn it into a report that can be understood by a variety of audiences. Ability to create graphs, tables, and narratives.
  • Presentation: ability to verbally present data and reports to a variety of audiences, facilitate discussion about data findings, answer questions about the data.
  • Process Improvement: ability to identify opportunities for improvement based on data findings; facilitate discussion on what could be impacting the ability to achieve desired goals, and get buy-in around process improvement activities and initiatives. This includes developing flow charts, updating policies, following appropriate communication channels, etc.
  • Requires Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as G-Suite.
  • Experience with statistical software (SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc) preferred. Experience with SQL is a plus.
