Position Narrative (Overview) – SageSure, the insurance first, tech-forward, capital-lite managing general underwriter that focuses on the underserved, preferred homeowners middle-market, is seeking a QA Test Coverage Analyst. We pride ourselves on our proven analytical approach and our rigorous underwriting, and we are both profitable and still growing rapidly. This key role is responsible for ensuring adequate test coverage for all work moving through the "product factory," including new products, product changes, and bug fixes.

This role will have significant interaction across the Program QA organization as well as interaction with the Product Analysis and Engineering teams. The candidate should be ready to take ownership of test coverage and test case management. The role will include the opportunity to get exposure to and experience with other aspects of QA, and to learn from other members of a larger QA team with broad and diverse talent and knowledge.

What you'll be doing:

• Test Coverage Analysis
  • Perform detailed review our growing and evolving collection of test cases and test suites against. product requirements and industry best practices to ensure comprehensive test coverage and avoid redundancy.
  • Prioritize for closure any gaps in our test coverage.
  • Flag test cases for regression testing based on the types of product changes which may cause the test cases to fail.
  • Maintain mapping between past fixed defects and current test coverage, to ensure good regression test coverage.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to our test coverage.
• Test Case Management
  • Work with automation and manual test teams to maintain comprehensive test coverage while migrating manually tested cases to automated cases.
  • Prioritize manual tests for automation based on execution cost and speed to market goals.
  • Maintain data in our Test Case Management system to facilitate reporting, identify automation. opportunities, and otherwise improve accuracy and efficiency in our test coverage.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to our test case management.
• Testing
  • User Acceptance Testing and Rates testing.
  • Pitch in with other testing from time to time, e.g., if there is an urgent need for more QA. bandwidth on a busy release day.

We're looking for someone how has:

• Personal lines or Commercial lines property insurance knowledge.
• An understanding of rating.
• Technical aptitude and ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders.

Highly preferred candidates will also have:

• QA Experience.
• Experience working with TestRail, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience with or interest in learning any of the following: QA automation, QA manual testing, APIs, CI/CD Pipelines, Java, JSON, Postman, Python, RestAssured, Selenium, Smartsheet, XML.
• Ability to envision product quality from the perspective of a customer, business stakeholder, or regulator.
• Understanding and/or interest in learning more about the concepts related to the relationship between (a) variation of test inputs and (b) test coverage. This includes things like input parameterization, input combinations or input vectors, boundary testing, pairwise testing, spot checking, comprehensive test coverage.
