Durex Industries is a market leader in the supply of thermal process components for semiconductor processing equipment and commercial equipment for Fortune 500 companies worldwide. We currently have an opening for a dynamic Purchasing Manager to assist with development of the supply chain and support the growth or our customers’ market demands.

In this role, the purchasing manager will take charge of all material acquisition processes, inventory levels, and cost control. In addition, vendor management with performance metrics will be key to on-going success.

Specific job duties:

· Manage the acquisition of all raw materials, components, production supplies, and MRO components.

· Directly manage critical suppliers and their sub-tier suppliers to support priority semi customer demand ramp.

· Manage vendor base and collaborate on supplier metrics. Consolidate suppliers as appropriate.

· Manage price targets not to exceed standard cost.

· Develop and implement plans for cost reduction/control of major commodity groups.

· Direct sourcing activity and participate in qualification process of all new vendors.

· Assure staffing levels are sufficient and provide effective team leadership to achieve corporate goals.

· Establish and maintain a culture consistent with corporate core values.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field.

· Minimum (7) years related experience in supply chain or materials management in a custom manufacturing environment.

· High level of ability to define, manage, and conclude projects to stated results.

· Well versed in financial aspects of business management related to cost basis, standard costing, inventory costing, and variance control.

· Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and relationship building skills.

· Strong strategic and analytical skills

· Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members to succeed.

· Ability to identify waste and look for cost effective solutions.
