Talento Search Group has an opening for a Purchasing Assistant Manager in the Bremen, Georgia area. This is a direct-hire.

Position Summary
The Purchasing Manager will coordinate activity related to the purchase and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies within the manufacturing facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and select products to purchase by collaborating with various departments in the plant
• Estimate cost by reviewing the market price and determine the supplier's cost
• Prepare method of purchase including quotes, bids, and direct purchases
• Prepare purchase orders, bid proposals, requests for quotes, letters of intent, and negotiate on contracts within the budget
• Domestic and global sourcing to support multiple brands
• Work on new product launches
• Set cost reduction programs in place
• Participate in supplier management and performance regarding delivery and quality

Required Education and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field
• At least 3-5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing facility required
• Experience with negotiation, sourcing, bidding, contracting, supplier performance management and risk management
• Knowledge of purchasing systems (such as SAP)
