Communication Academy is the recognized leader in offering Public Speaking, Debate, Writing/Reading and Math classes for K-8th graders. Our mission is to enhance students' communication skills to allow them to be more successful in all aspects of their live.

For the past 20 years we have partnered with over 50 City Recreations, School Districts, Private Schools and Home Schools to offer our classes in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are currently looking for fun, inspiring and passionate Instructors or Teachers to teach our Public Speaking classes for K to 8th grade students. Classes are scheduled for afterschool during weekdays and Saturdays.

Working Hours:

• Tuesdays - Fridays, 4:00 - 6:00 PM
• Saturdays, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• School Break Camps: 9:00 - 3:00 PM Thanksgiving, Christmas

• Teach Public Speaking classes for K - 8th graders (in different age groups)
• Assist students to develop self-confidence by learning clear and effective communication skills
• Teach from pre-planned comprehensive curriculum
• Create fun and supportive environment for students to hone their writing skills and develop confidence in writing
• Small class size, max of 12
• Very flexible schedule
• 2 - 12 hours per week during school
• 12 - 30 hours per week during school breaks

Qualifications:

• BA in Communication Studies, Speech and Debate, English, Education or related fields preferred
• Minimum one year of experience in teaching, training, coaching or tutoring
• Dynamic, articulate, patient, reliable, fun loving, professional
• Enjoy working with students of all ages

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
