Passion can take many forms: for the mountains, for serving others, for being a part of a team. The Public Safety Team at Mt Hood Meadows shares their passion for serving the team and the guests through their friendly and helpful approach to Public Safety services at the resort.
The Public Safety Officer is critical in maintaining a professional and safe environment for team members and guests. They secure the premises and personnel by monitoring and patrolling the property: monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points. The Safety Officer investigates suspicious behavior and forms relationships with guests and team members. They are passionate about helping through education around code of conduct and policies. The Public Safety officer is also part of the emergency response team and acts as a first responder to a variety of emergency situations.
Qualifications & Experience
- 19 years of age or older for company insurance purposes
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass driving background record check
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications
- Previous experience with incident reporting and documentation
- Experience working with confidential materials and information
- Basic First Aid / CPR / AED certification or ability to obtain
- Possess or ability to obtain DPSST Private Security License (Unarmed)
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Able to commit to work weekends and holidays
- Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years security/law enforcement/Fire experience
- 1-2 years Guest Service experience
- General knowledge of Mt. Hood Meadows and Cooper Spur Resort a plus
