General Summary:

Works with internal and external data system users and stakeholders to support the full data and analytics life cycle from understanding program needs through data collection, preparation, analysis and reporting. Utilizes analytic and technical skills to understand, identify, and deploy optimal technical tools for data cleaning, extraction, manipulation, reporting, linkage, and sharing.

Essential Functions:

  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, develop metrics, retrieve data, and ensure validity of results
  • Provides project management and coordination of projects, including creating work plans and workflows, working with various workgroups and stakeholders, tracking progress, troubleshooting and resolving barriers while monitoring timelines to ensure on-time completion of deliverables
  • Responsible for querying, analyzing, and validating multiple complex databases using SQL
  • Develops documentation including data user’s guides, codebooks, and dataset documentation
  • Produces reports and visualizations, including data quality reports
  • Conducts data crosswalks and works with partners to ensure efficient data sharing via APIs and file transfers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Intermediate experience in at least one computer programming language or analytical programming (R, Python, SAS, etc.)
  • Experience with health data and HL7 preferred
  • Standard and ad hoc report building, dashboards and visualizations using standard BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Knowledge of relational database structures and ability to perform queries and retrieve and integrate data from multiple tables and/or sources in SQL
  • Understanding of data flows, conceptual knowledge of ETL
  • High proficiency using the tools available on the Microsoft platform.
  • Proven ability to work effectively independently, as a member of a team and/or with internal and external stakeholders with minimum guidance
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as ability to handle deadlines, details and complexity
  • Must be able to handle matters of a confidential nature
  • Valid driver’s license, car and current insurance policy

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to see to read documents and hear well enough to communicate with others
  • Must be able to write, type on a computer, and use a telephone
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Additional requirements to be determined with input from Director and HR

Work Environment:

Travels as needed to sites where traffic, weather, and other environmental conditions may be encountered; otherwise works remotely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
