PT Recreation Therapy Program Support Specialist
Job description
The Town of Brookline is seeking a PT Recreation Therapy Program Support Specialist to support our Therapeutic Recreation Division. Under the general direction of the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, this Specialist will implement recreational programming that is inclusive, adaptive, and supportive for children, teens, and adults with various intellectual and/or physical abilities. Serves in a support staff role and helps facilitate communication between the Therapeutic Recreation division and participants. Works a part-time schedule, depending on program staffing needs.
Qualifications:
Actively or graduated from an accredited college/university program with at least 60 semester or 90 quarter units, equivalent to two years or more of college at the time of application. Enrollment in a degree program such as Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Management, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Early Childhood Education is a plus. 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities. Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License is required.
Starting Salary $17.00/hr. Position is for up to five hours per week. Please apply with resume and cover letter by December 11, 2022.
