Eliot’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) in Everett and Lynn are seeking Medical Assistants with at least two years experience working with individuals with substance use and mental illness. The goal of Eliot’s CCBHC is to expand the impact of evidence-based treatments for underserved populations in the Everett and Lynn areas. Eliot’s CCBHC is a team-based model of care that includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, case managers, triage specialists, recovery coaches, and peer specialists.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual, passionate about working within the behavioral health field, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and skills in data management.

Responsibilities:

  • Interview clients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height and Review of Systems as indicated.
  • Ensure clients are shown to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
  • Complete brief medical and health assessments with clients.
  • Reconcile medications and vaccines with other medical personnel.
  • Develop and implement systems to schedule appointments for clients.
  • As directed or indicated, provide education and wellness activities both individually and in groups.
  • Work Client Registries via Electronic Health Record, Microsoft Access, Excel or other database.
  • Monitor the database to identify and reach out to those needing services.
  • Automate and perform processes by phone or send letters to clients either overdue for medical care or out of compliance with the goals of their care.
  • Act as liaison to medical providers for health issues, documentation and other related information.
  • Schedule, review and enter lab results.

Salary: $18.12/hour (non certified), $20.52/hour (certified) , $28.69/hour (LPN)

Pay differential for bilingual candidates

Schedule: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, remote, evening and weekend work flexibility

Bonus Breakdown:

  • $1500 after 1 month of employment
  • $1500 after 6 months of employment
