The Provider Data Specialist will maintain all new and existing provider demographics and financial affiliations records in the claims processing system(s). To ensure data integrity of all Information entered into the claims processing system as this information affects members, providers as well as any department within Peoples Health providing services to members and/or providers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works within the defined contract flow process to facilitate the timely completion of all provider affiliations activities related to provider contracting, including related Provider Trak activities
  • Ensures that contractual documentation supplied by the contracting specialists within the Internal Contracting Form (ICF) is complete for the purpose of building accurate demographic and financial affiliations records for contracted providers
  • Ensures that changes in existing contracted provider’s information supplied by the Contracting Specialists and the Provider Relations Representatives, within the Provider Information Change Form (PICF), is complete for the purpose of updating accurate demographic and financial records for participating providers
  • Ensures all pended claims for all providers are reviewed and re-routed to the claims department to assure timely claims processing
  • Enters/updates financial affiliations for all providers
  • Completes daily pended claims queue reports for all providers
  • Works closely with the Staff Auditor and manager to resolve errors
  • Maintains a current status on all Learn Source course assignments
  • Responsible for special projects and other duties as required by Management

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 2+ years of experience in a provider relations position
  • 1+ year of experience in a provider relations position
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in operating various desktop applications (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Email packages)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Amisys

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $16.00 to $26.88. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada / New York City residents is $16.83 to $29.66.
