Marsh is seeking talented candidates to join our Risk Consulting Team for the following position based in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

Property Risk Consultant / Engineer

As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for providing property risk evaluations and consultancy services to a range of national and international clients. The consultancy work will include advising on fire protection, security and business interruption issues covering both buildings and contents.

We will count on you to:

  • Conduct property and casualty loss control evaluations to assess potential hazards in commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Review clients’ sites and operations to identify and analyse risks to assets and revenue.
  • Prepare concise and clear risk and loss control reports with COPE information and loss estimates, both to describe the risk to insurers and to assist clients with risk improvement recommendations
  • Provide risk management advice and consultancy on asset protection, fire engineering, construction, security, risk management standards and training
  • Work with clients and Marsh colleagues to develop new and expanded business opportunities
  • Work with colleagues in Property Risk Consulting to develop new consulting services and products

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field.
  • Proven experience (4-5 years) of property risk assessment, including fire, natural hazard and security risk assessment is essential for this position.
  • Advanced knowledge on NFPA and FM Global fire protection and construction standards
  • Experience developing Loss Estimates for fire and explosion (PML’s).
  • Strong report writing skills for risk management and technical reports.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Excellent analytical and decision making abilities
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Availability and willingness to travel (2-5 times yearly).
