Description: Open Door Properties is currently seeking a Property Manager to join our team! The right candidate will be detailed oriented, great with people, a self-starter and energized by working with an awesome team!

Essential Duties

  • Demonstrate a positive, professional and client-oriented attitude with coworkers, tenants, clients and the public whether contact is by mail, telephone or in person
  • Assists in assuring the company’s efforts fully meet and exceed property management obligations
  • Ability to clearly explain services and processes of Open Door Properties to both property owners and tenants
  • Coordinate and complete full on boarding of new tenants including, initial application, background, employment and previous tenant verification
  • Responsible for some daily accounting and reporting functions
  • Identify leasing prospects and respond to leasing inquiries.
  • Maintain complete and accurate property files and records. Provide prompt, detailed and accurate general status reports on all properties assigned
  • Collect delinquent accounts promptly
  • Engage, contract, supervise and approve invoices for all goods/services required to maintain the properties up to company and owner standards. Negotiate and develop a network of vendor services to be available for 24 hours per weekend coverage as required
  • Supervise on-site maintenance visits for assigned properties
  • Manage tenant relations and coordinate requests for repairs and maintenance, understanding of rent charges, lease issues and other tenant concerns
  • Maintain current knowledge and continuing education for property managers as required by TREC
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Detail oriented

  • Able to work in stressful situations

Required Education/Experience/Licensure

  • High school Diploma or equivalent required
  • State of Texas Realtor license required
  • Progressive property management experience required
  • Experience with Yardi property management preferred
