This position is work-from-home supporting our Technical Program Management department working 40 hours a week, Monday- Friday.


Position Summary:
Manages, plans, and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects. Establishes work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Strategizes, plans, directs and coordinates activities with third party vendor solutions including implementation and upgrades.

  • Collaborate with leadership, staff and partners to ensure coordinated delivery of projects to clients. Work with cross-departmental teams to forward company and client efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Liason between third party vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure that external vendor bug fixes, enhancements, and implementation timelines are communicated to internal stakeholders.

Breaks down problems into smaller components, understands underlying issues, can simplify and process complex issues, understands the difference between critical details and unimportant facts.

  • Work with project stakeholders to determine critical path issues and create processes to overcome barriers.
  • Analyze and understand project impacts, work with project stakeholders to prioritize issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of third party programs and how they relate to internal data sources in order to determine root cause of issues and assign tasks appropriately.
  • Understand vendor Service Level Agreements and assist stakeholders with appropriate prioritization


PRODUCTIVITY

Manages a fair workload, volunteers for additional work, prioritizes tasks, develops good work procedures, manages time well, handles information flow.

  • Track multiple projects at one time and prioritize work.
  • Utilize meeting facilitation skills to facilitate non project related meetings such as workflow redesign and lean events.
  • Manage multiple vendor relationships at one time and prioritize work.
  • Release management tracking to ensure that vendors are using change control and release management processes.

JOB KNOWLEDGE

  • Develop and update project plans for business projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Establish and execute a project communication plan.
  • Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Use strategic influence to eliminate or mitigate any resource or project obstacles as necessary. Monitor project team performance, documenting and providing performance feedback.
  • Identify need for initial or supplemental project resources; negotiate with project stakeholders or suppliers to obtain resources or materials; identify, review, or select vendors or consultants to meet project needs; monitor vendor contracts to ensure that project commitments are met.
  • Surveys internal/external customers periodically throughout project to obtain feedback and alter strategy, project direction or execution as necessary. Conduct post-completion assessments to understand what went well and what could be improved that can be applied to future projects.
  • Promote process standardization and process improvement based on feedback from customers.


Qualifications (Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification, Project Managent Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of managing high profile, crossfunctional projects.
  • An established track record of leading successful, large-scale projects in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing, Excel, and project management software & tools including Microsoft Project and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Knowledge of business and project management principles.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Highly organized with proven project management skills.
  • Skilled in using information and data to effectively identify implement and track projects.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Home office that is HIPAA compliant for all remote or telecommuting positions as outlined by the company policies and procedures.
