CBIZ Talent & Compensation Solutions practice provides clients with compensation expertise to ensure compensation programs are competitive, fair and legally compliant. The Compensation practice is comprised of experts who will work with clients to design, implement and communicate employee and executive compensation and reward programs that drive organizational success.

CBIZ's Compensation practice is currently searching for an experienced compensation professional to join the team as a Project Manager as a critical member of the team to lead compensation analysts in ensuring the successful execution of deliverables for client engagements.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Serves as liaison between analysts/service teams and client-facing consultants
  • Responsible for planning, prioritizing, and allocating staff resources to complete compensation consulting projects
  • Participate in client management, meetings, and presentations
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Trains analysts to increase technical competence in MS Excel, compensation analysis, and the consulting processes
  • Reviews the work of staff and provides coaching and feedback with the goal of providing a finished report of the client-facing consultants
  • Provide project review and feedback to analysts
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Continually evaluate processes, templates, and communications with the goal of improving and keeping up with best practice
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Business or Masters of Business Administration, with a concentration in accountancy, economics, finance or human resources
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience including compensation design and strategy
  • Experience in a consulting environment is strongly preferred
  • Proven working experience in applying project management methodologies
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation capabilities; must be highly proficient in Excel
  • Works effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology

Qualifications Required

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Over 7 years of experience in the area of expertise with increasing complexity
  • At least 5 years of experience supervising and leading staff
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to the field of expertise
  • Demonstrate industry experience and technical knowledge in the area of expertise
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Expert knowledge of state and federal legislation and regulations impacting the discipline
  • Expertise in managing clients
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
