About the Role:

The Project Manager will be reporting and working closely with the Director, Business Process Optimization as part of the Wiley Ege Project Management Office. The nature of the projects will vary but primarily relate to technology change and business process optimization.


In addition to being accountable for the execution of the projects they are responsible for, the Project Manager is willing to jump in and help whenever and wherever possible. They are excited to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders across the business to ensure that each project is aligned around process, objectives, and budget.


The role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, solid understanding of the principles of effective Project Management and Change Management coupled with the ability to bring disparate contributors together to help drive projects to completion.

How you will make an impact:

  • Responsible for creating and managing project plans and timelines, defining the scope of work, determining the prioritization, ensuring budget is allocated and tracked, and potential risks/issues for successful delivery
  • Develop strong relationships and work within the Wiley Edge teams supporting the execution, completion, and tracking of projects and business optimization activities
  • Meticulously update project status, tasks, and risks in Wiley Edge project management tool
  • Track issues and find resolutions by working with the right resources
  • Report to the Director, Business Process Optimization and provide both scheduled and ad hoc updates for upcoming activities and open issues
  • Anticipate planning needs for upcoming projects
  • Schedule and conduct regular project team status meetings
  • Communicate with various levels of staff and leadership teams
  • Provide project status reports and business analysis around project KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and objectives
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to develop, evolve, and document PM processes and standards

What we look for:

  • 3+ years of direct project management or similar experience
  • Detail-oriented and results driven
  • Strong knowledge of agile project management processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with the project management tools monday.com and Jira
  • Experience with reporting and providing business analysis per project and objective
  • Familiarity with the EdTech/Bootcamp/Hire-Train-Deploy space is a plus
  • Demonstrable experience and/or interest in managing projects leveraging best practices

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The target base pay range for this position is $81,000 to $113,700. This range represents Wiley’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
