Project Manager

Sandstone Site Services is a growing company looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team. Sandstone is 60 employees strong and looking for more crew leads to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Project Estimator as projects are awarded.
• Review contract and specifications in their entirety.
• Initiate project buyout process and prepare purchase orders for selected suppliers and vendors.
• Engage Subcontractors as required and prepare subcontracts.
• Coordinate and track project submittals and shop drawings.
• Ensure all required permits/clearances are obtained prior to commencement of any work.
• Prepare/maintain project scheduling and update throughout the duration of the project.
• Provide technical engineering information to project field supervision and crafts to ensure construction work complies with applicable engineering standards, codes, and specifications.
• Coordinate with project superintendents as necessary.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to resolve projects challenges and conflicts.
• Prepare monthly pay applications and submit/track change orders, extra work requests, and cash flow projections.
• Manage project documents control to include submittals, schedule, contract documents, project records, etc.
• Comply with notice requirements such as inspections, testing, survey staking, locates, etc.
• Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plans and/or specifications affects products or service
• Coordinate and manage project close-out documentation.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
• Computer proficient (programs include Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Foundation, AGTEK, Bluebeam).
• Previous experience with Site Development and Heavy Civil Construction preferred (Earthwork, Utility Installation, Roadway Infrastructure).
• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management a plus.

Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable of all aspects of construction including underground utilities, grading, earthwork, roadwork, engineering plans, project planning, subcontractors, and procurement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of construction methods, inspections, and tests.
• OSHA-certified competent person.

Work Environment:

Work is performed outside in varying types of environmental conditions. The requirements of this position involve extended periods of strenuous physical activity under various field and weather conditions. Applicant must be able to lift, carry, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
