You will work on day-to-day basis with highly motivated engineering team members and other stakeholders to solve business problems using principles of Agile software development. You will analyze the existing team strength and build an agile culture within teams by streamlining the delivery process, inoculating the practice of agile and scrum, building efficiencies by using data driven approach, using project management tools to manage one or more banking initiative and measure success using pre-defined metrics like cost, time, effort, quality etc.

In short, you will be steering the global engineering teams to successfully solve business problems and delight customers.

Core Responsibilities: -

  • End to end responsible for aiding the Engineering and Product lead(s) on banking initiatives and theme delivery using agile and lean approach.
  • Responsible for enabling Engg in various sprint events, metrics, conflict resolution and other agile values within the teams (including vendor staffs) to build self-organizing teams
  • Leverage product roadmap to help forecast the resources, deliverables, product goals using reliable data and team commitments, to maximize the Product Owner’s productivity.
  • With minimal information, assist the Engg /Product leads in planning and estimation.
  • Track and refine plans and initiatives per delivery execution Issues, Risks and Dependencies.
  • Help the program owner and initiative manager by managing projects and budgets on monthly basis with tools such as Confluence, Jira and SharePoint for collaborative information sharing and tracking.
  • Should be adept in working with multiple stakeholders such as the Business and others to clarify requirements, resolve conflicting priorities, remove impediments, and build quality processes.
  • Support the Engg teams to higher levels of performance by providing and tracking acceleration metrics to take corrective and preventive actions.

How your typical week will look like (Detailed Activities): -

  • Coordinate activities of the project team with Engg/Product Lead, identify necessary resources and help product management develop schedules to meet completion deadlines, identify the milestones.
  • Verifies team adherence to control and risk implementations as well as standards and process changes.
  • Identifies scope and impact of project risks and issues; raises and resolves issues and help track in relevant tool.
  • Work in conjunction with Product and Engg Leads / multiple stakeholders to assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation.
  • Safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy.
  • Apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices.
  • Escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency and effectively supervise the activity of others, ensuring accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Work with Product Managers to formulate project plan, schedules, reporting and with engineering leads for budget & contract management.
  • Co-ordinate and perform agile ceremonies, measure agile metrics using agile tools like Jira, Confluence and other Citi tools.
  • Develop and implement strategy for the control and tracking of project related items such as, assumptions, dependencies and associated costs and resources.
  • Ability to manage and assign financial forecast and time sheet for all resource categories and perform monthly adjustments in PTS, Renault creation / linkage.
  • Managing resource forecast, understanding the availability of various resources for organizational projects.
  • Being compliant to firm’s project management standards.
  • Project governance on risk, financials, resources, scope, communication, timeline, post-go-live monitoring.
  • Vendor contract management and invoice processing.
  • Standardization to ease of movement for manager between different or multiple projects as well as quick learning curve of new project managers.
  • Through the creation of project management templates, ensure the use of standard components or principles for various projects to reduce of time.
  • Maintain an updated status of current projects and associated requests pending review.
  • Ability to liaise with various vendors on the overall SOW development, providing end to end management ensuring the completion and sign off process with procurement.
  • Coordinate with multiple project managers for project financials update on a regular basis and support any ad-hoc requests.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

Experience: -

  • IT experience with last 3 years in leading global engineering teams as a Project Manager in banking domain using Agile methodologies.
