JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

PSAA's Alumni Operations team is seeking a dynamic, caring, energetic, self-directed, and thoughtful team member to support a variety of efforts and projects throughout the association.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Alumni Operations and working closely with University units across the Alumni Association, this Project Manager position will:

• Facilitate and lead the creation of project definitions, work breakdowns, rough order estimates, project plans, communication plans and project schedules and specifications; serve as liaison between technical staff and other groups to resolve problems and concerns
• Interact regularly with project sponsors, plans to address these efficiently
• Help to determine scope of work required for assigned projects
• Assist in training new staff members in processes and procedures
• Participate in professional development activities in the practice of enterprise project and portfolio management and may pursue certifications, if required
• Provide technical guidance and direction to other staff, especially as it pertains to the use of tools for effective project management
• Troubleshoot day to day operations and facilitate user groups in obtaining access to systems
• Assume responsibility for definable projects

This position typically requires a associates degree or higher plus 2 or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, a Project Management Certification, PMP or PMI, is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will also have:

• A dedication to and understanding of the skills required to build relationships with diverse communities.
• Experience with Workfront or a similar project management software is highly desired.
• Familiarity with SharePoint or a similar web based document management and storage system is preferred.

• A proven ability to self-motivate and work both independently and as part of a team
• A commitment to professional development, learning, and being mentored
