Amalgamated Sugar Company – Twin Falls, ID

Amalgamated Sugar has an opening for a Project Engineer-Chemical working at the Twin Falls industrial factory in Twin Falls, Idaho, that will make a significant impact with the organization through the planning, executing, and overseeing a variety of projects that will support the growth of the factory team and company. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Applicants must have the ability to manage multiple process improvement projects, which include preparing budgets, generating detailed design criteria and schedules, writing technical specifications and proposals for procurement, coordinating efforts of several departments, and providing a leadership role in the development, installation, and monitoring of each project through commissioning. Applicants should also be able to manage and coordinate with contractors and consultants using both verbal and written communication.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.

· A professional engineering license or the desire to obtain a license is a plus.

· Proven 2-5 years’ working experience in related field preferred.

· Knowledge of industrial process control systems, including PLC, HMI, and Network systems.

· AutoCAD experience a plus; ability to draw P&ID’s, PFD’s, Electrical one-lines, and general arrangement drawings.

· Considerable experience in processing systems in a manufacturing environment and current engineering design practices.

· Proficient with project management software such as MS Office Suite and MS projects.

· Possess a working knowledge of industrial pumps and piping systems, material handling, heat transfer and thermodynamics.

Possess knowledge and incorporate GMPs for food safety and food quality in all engineered planning, design, construction, and operation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,133.73 - $111,693.47 per year
