Job Summary:

Entry level Position. Duties of the position after training:

Design and engineer control systems. Perform software programming based on project plans, specifications, and other contract documents. Ensure documentation is accurate and complete. Provide project management on projects as required, interfacing directly to our customers. Work with installers, sub-contractors and suppliers to complete jobs successfully and on time. This is an exempt position.

Duties and Responsibilities (After Training):

· Control system design responsibility

· Control programming and graphic development

· Manage the start up & commissioning of control systems by working with controls technicians.

· Visit sites for light-duty testing of control systems with controls technicians

· Maintain backups of customer databases.

· Set up and configuration of PC Workstations, user interfaces, data servers, IP Networking devices, protocols, routers, switches, mass storage devices and hubs.

· Confirms proper network performance.

· Coordinate startup services: Work with customer’s IT Department to coordinate network drops, IP addresses, and monitoring tools.

· Work with equipment vendors to coordinate communication protocols and any requirements to integrate with their systems.

· Provides technical assistance to Controls Technicians & Electrical Installers. Provides technical assistance to subcontractors. Ensures that delegated tasks are done accurately, on-time, and within scope of the contract.

· Effectively communicates the status of projects to management as required

· Revise drawings and software as necessary

· Produce as-build documentation

· Develop and conduct Owner training

· Perform project management tasks

· Responsible for material ordering/coordination

· Third party Protocol Integration coordination and execution

· Manage time to complete assignments on time and within budget

· Sends warranty letter to customer upon substantial completion of project and ensures proper execution of warranty

Skills and Abilities:

· Knowledge of computer networking systems

· DDC controls Programming skills (Reliable controls preferred) (After Training)

· Strong Analytical skills

· Strong interactive and communication skills

· Management of technicians, installers and subcontractors (After Training)

· Strong troubleshooting skills

· Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits

· Knowledge of DDC Control Theory and Applications (After Training)

· Ability to work independently and unsupervised (After Training)

· ACAD & MS Visio skills (Preferable but will train if not)

Credentials and Experience:

· Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Computer programming experience (C, BASIC, Fortran, etc...)

· HVAC and/or Mechanical system experience (Preferable but will train if not)

Job Type: Full-time
