Department Summary
AIM-AHEAD Coordinating Center: Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Consortium to Advance Health Equity and Researcher Diversity. The position is based at the UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX.

Position Overview
The Project Coordinator will assist the HUB leads and Multiple Principal Investigators in building partnerships and developing a robust network of stakeholders from
Hawaii, Guam and American Samoa with the goal of increasing the capacity of individuals from underrepresented groups to use artificial intelligence/machine learning to
address health disparities in their communities.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Good communication skills (professionalism, empathy, interviewing)
  • Well organized and attention to details
  • Be self-motivated, flexible/adaptable, and can work independently
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines
  • Able to work with research tracking databases (Excel, REDCap)
  • Able to document research procedures
  • Able to assist in data management and quality control

Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS required in science, social science, public health, mathematics, STEM, education, or related field.
Proficiency with a wide range of PC and Mac software applications including MS Access, webpages, spreadsheets, databases, word processing.
Academic project management experience.
Ability to plan, lead and manage projects within deadlines.
Excellent administrative and time-management skills, including attention to detail, ability to problem-solve.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary settings, as part of a team or independently.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain positive professional relationships with External and Internal Program staff and administration, faculty, staff and students across the campus and at
other institutions.

Job Duties

o
Directing, organizing, and coordinating stakeholder activities under the direction of the AIM-AHEAD Leadership/Administration Core; including coordinating partnerships with stakeholders from academic institutions, Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), large data programs, for profit organizations, and community-based organizations.

o
Work with organizations/institutions from various geographical regions to onboard individuals from underrepresented communities into AIM-AHEAD programs.

o
Coordination and management of capacity building and consortium-wide pilot projects from the Pacific Islands region.

o
Coordinate stakeholder workshops (both virtual and in-person); duties will include developing agendas, identifying presentation topics and speakers, as well as managing catering, registration, and the reservation of event spaces.

o
Coordination of partners and sub-awards to implement project activities. Oversight and coordination of provision of services.

o
Assist stakeholder partners with budgeting and invoicing in collaboration with the Budgeting and Finance team.

o
Development of AIM-AHEAD materials in collaboration and coordination with the AIM-AHEAD staff and faculty at regional hubs.

o
Support stakeholders in meeting project deliverables and milestones.

o
Assist in the development and implementation of a stakeholder engagement plan. Communicate with stakeholders on a regular basis for ongoing outreach, recruitment, engagement, and retention.

o
Interact with staff, faculty, students, and outside professionals with essential job functions.
