JOB SUMMARY: The Program Support Coordinator is responsible for monitoring student attendance and academic progress throughout the students’ training. This includes advising students daily, reviewing reports, and interacting with instructors and department heads.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor student attendance and academic progress of the assigned caseload.
  • Evaluate students’ segment attendance reports, report cards, and PELL/LOAN reports.
  • Mentor students who are not making satisfactory academic progress or meeting PELL/LOAN report standards and process advisements.
  • Contact suspended/drop students, students who did not graduate on time, and students on leave of absence, for reinstatement and/or to ensure the completion of their education.
  • Resolve student complaints and seek out higher management if the complaint cannot be resolved.
  • Manage students’ graduation on an administrative level.
  • Distribute outstanding issue reports, Perfect Attendance awards, and Top Tech awards to students.
  • Collaborate with various staff as it relates to student retention and issues.
  • Monitor the assigned case load’s cohort requirements and ensure that they are met regularly.
  • Prepare and process segment changes.
  • Function as an ambassador and liaison for Apex Technical School.
  • Contribute to organization success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team results.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Software Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Google Workspace

Job Experience:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience in the educational field is preferred.

Personal Qualities:

  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Efficient with meeting deadlines and time management.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, and supervisors.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team.
