Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s (BDS) X-37B is the United States’ most advanced, state-of-the-art reentry spacecraft. Boeing is the prime contractor for the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV), an unmanned space vehicle that is used by the United States Air Force to explore reusable space vehicle technologies in support of long-term space objectives.

Boeing is seeking a Program Protection Analyst (level 2, 3, or 4) with the ability to analyze complex aerospace engineering solutions and/or technical background to be part of the Experimental Systems Group’s Mission Protection organization.

Objectives of the X-37B program include space experimentation, risk reduction, and concept of operations development. Managed by Experimental Systems Group (ESG), a unit of Boeing Space and Launch Systems. BDS is one of the world's largest defense, space and security businesses specializing in innovative and capabilities-driven customer solutions, and the world's largest and most versatile producer of military aircraft and commercial/civil/government space systems.

This position can be located in Seal Beach, CA or El Segundo CA .

Position Responsibilities:
Assess threats, analyze spacecraft capabilities and vulnerabilities, define/assess mission protection solutions to meet program objectives, and recommend counter-measures/mitigations.

Assess threats, analyze experiment capabilities and vulnerabilities, define/assess mission protection solutions to meet program objectives, and recommend counter-measures/mitigations.

Develop concepts of operations, processes and procedures to implement Mission Protection solutions.

Collaborate with program and government representatives to ensure Mission Protection initiatives are effectively implemented throughout all phases of a program.

Coordinate across various team members (e.g., managers, engineers, technicians, launch systems personnel) to develop and refine Mission Protection concepts and methodologies.

Understanding of Critical Program Information (CPI), Threats, and Vulnerabilities

Author, coordinate reviews and release written Program Protection Plans (PPP) and other documentation (e.g., OPSEC and ConOps plans)

Provide training to program personnel on Mission Protection concepts and methodologies.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering and/or a technical discipline; five (5) or more years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3 : 3+ years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Level 4 : 5+ years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience in working multi-compartmented security systems.

Experience supporting Satellite System Integration or Operation.

Experience with Launch System Integration and Operations.

Typical Education & Experience:
Associate (Level 2)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

Experienced (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.

Lead (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary Pay Range – Associate, Level 2: $78,200 - $105,800
Summary Pay Range – Experienced, Level 3: $98,600 - $113,400
Summary Pay Range – Lead, Level 4: $121,550 - $164,450

To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
