Who we are looking for: The ideal candidate will be mission-driven with a desire to make a difference for families and communities served by LCS Northwest.

The Role: The Program Coordinator supports employment specialists in recruitment and outreach to local communities to connect individuals and partnerships with resources and education on LCSNW employment programs. Supports Program Manager in creating relationships with other organizations to best benefit our future clients.

  • Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served.
  • Work with program manager to establish positive relationships with employers and training programs to ensure successful permanent employment for clients.
  • Actively involved in community outreach and organizations to enhance LCSW housing and employment services.
  • Lead the recruitment with employers and professional mentors to create a timeline that includes courses, certifications, and career pathways for clients.
  • Coordinate with the jobs and housing team for housing services, provide referrals and use shared tracking documents to newly enrolled clients.
  • Compile accurate and traceable data.
  • Submit monthly program reports of recruitment and new and total enrollments into housing and employment programs required by Program Manager.
  • Creates marketing materials and maintains branding platforms to further community awareness.
  • Plans, coordinates and implements program related community activities (eg. Workshops, Job Fairs, etc.)
  • Develop direct relationships with DSHS, Colleges, trade schools, and community partners.
  • Represent the agency and services in a professional manner.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of participant information in conformance with related policies and procedures. Requires strict adherence of HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure confidentiality.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Two years of experience working in social services, or work with homeless, immigrant and refugee populations or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Two years of increasingly responsible management or supervisory experience.
  • Skilled in planning and prioritizing work effectively, working independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in effectively operating standard office equipment including personal computer and related software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and partners.
  • A strong level of cultural competence is required.
  • Must be able to work in a multicultural setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in partnership development and maintenance.
  • Understanding of the social service system is highly desired.
  • Bilingual in English / Spanish, Arabic, Dari, Farsi, or French.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: WA State Driver’s License and proof of current auto insurance.
