Shift: 8-5pm/9-6pm

Pay: $24.75/hr.

Job Description:

• Initiate insurance authorization requests for output or input services with the prior authorization list.
• Research specific insurance claim inquiry for specific departments and responsibility.
• Perform task such as verifying appointments and obtaining lab results.
• Screen for eligibility and benefits.
• Perform transition of care duties to include but not limited to, contact the members attending physician, member or medical power of attorney, other medical providers (home health agencies, equipment vendors) for information pertaining to special needs.
• Attend marketing and outreach meetings as directed to represent the plan.
• Data enter assessments and authorizations into the system.

Minimum requirements:

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service experience
• Knowledge of claims processing
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• 2 years of experience
