Palmer Paint Co. is looking for a skilled Painter to join our team. We specialize in commercial remodeling, renovating and national roll out projects. We also specialize in residential interior and exterior painting. We are looking for a reliable, honest, drug free, team player who can lead by example.

Palmer Paint Co. has year round work with minimal down time. We are looking for employees who are committed to full time work with a rapidly growing company.

Company vehicle can be provided to the right candidate after completing 60 day probation period to validate skills and qualifications.

Pay will be negotiable based on experience and one weeks paid vacation will be provided after one year of full time employment.

Drywall finishing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
• Must be able to travel to various states for occasional commercial work
• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
• Using fillers such as putty, caulk and Spackle to repair cracks and holes
• Preparing walls and other surfaces prior to painting
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
• Apply varnish and other finishes
• Keep workplace and tools clean
• Ability to work with others and take direction
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions

Skills

• Proven experience as a painter/drywall finisher
• Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to apply them
• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
• Ability to operate a scissor lift
• Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
