We are looking to fill an opening for a Production Supervisor at our Tooele, UT location. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will oversee a team of employees to properly achieve all production requirements in a safe and efficient manner. As the team leader, the Production Supervisor not only needs to have a solid understanding of daily operations, but also must have excellent communication and soft skills. The Schedule for this position is 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Monday - Thursday.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Safety:

• Manage employee safety training.
• Ensure safety standards are met by all staff.
• Impose corrective action for employees who do not meet safety standards.
• Conduct mill inspections daily to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• File and forward all corrective action and first aid incident reports to the HSE Manager and Safety Committee.

Administrative:

• Sign off on all regulatory forms required by our company and, local or federal authorities.
• Monitor and sign off on all employee attendance records and at the end of each pay period.
• Manage employee absences to meet the requirements of the company.
• Complete online Performance Management tasks.
• Support employees with development/training activities.

Delegation and monitoring work flow:

• Plan and organize the roles and training of each member on shift.
• Relay any special shift instructions to other Supervisors.
• Follow up with corrective action when an employee strays from directives.

Trouble shooting Plant Control System and plant breakdowns (Root cause analysis):

• Resolve related issues utilizing available reports, trends and production logs.
• Refer to equipment operational information from HMI screens to identify the source and location.
• Assist and guide Maintenance.
• Monitor and approve the 24hr support PCS support desk.

Quality control and flow of nonconforming product:

• Report any quality issues directly to the Plant Manager, and QA.
• Enter appropriate information pertaining to the substandard feed in the yield report.
• Relay necessary actions to those required to facilitate the corrections needed to the production process property.

Experience/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Strong computer skills.
• Proven leadership ability.
• Capable of working in a team environment.
• Complete online Performance Management tasks.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at once.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
