KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position is responsible for scheduling daily 1st shift operations on the production floor while ensuring the team is meeting the established safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Supervise our Assembly, Filling, Printing, and Shipping and Inventory Control departments composed of 20-30 team members.

SALARY LEVEL/COMPENSATION:

  • Salary compensation is based on education level and experience. Range $55,000 - $70,000 annually
  • Additional benefits include: 2+ weeks paid vacation; 6 paid holidays; performance-based bonus; participation in company retirement savings plan with 5% Employer match; and medical/dental/vision/disability/life benefits.

POSITION TYPE:

  • Full Time: 40+ hours per week.
  • Shift: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Availability for overtime is a MUST during seasonal production.
  • This position is not a contract position and is an ongoing employee position. Hours worked will be on-site, in our office, located off 71 and Greenlawn Ave.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Operations & Production

  • Works with management to anticipate production backlog, and effectively schedules production for efficient utilization of a staff of 15-25, comprised of full-time, part-time and seasonal team members
  • Constantly and consistently monitors production to ensure deadlines are met, quality is up to standard, and that efficiency is maintained
  • Meets production goals by allocating resources accordingly
  • Supervises the manufacturing, production, and shipment of orders
  • Counts, records and enters data into systems as needed to track daily and weekly performance and production
  • Communicates with management regarding production staffing, operations, issues, and successes
  • Recommends personnel actions such as promotions, discharges, and disciplinary measures for operations staff to Production Manager and Human Resources

Quality Control

  • Finished product inspection and tracking
  • Ensures that policies, procedures and formulas are followed in a consistent manner
  • Documents and enforces standard operating procedures for all production tasks
  • Provides timely feedback to purchasing and sales team related to inventory or finished product quality issues identified during production operations

Inventory Control & Shipping/Receiving

  • Enforces procedures and monitors production to minimize inventory waste and shrinkage
  • Assists purchasing to evaluate inventory received against quality control standards, and to coordinate purchasing efforts to optimize inventory levels and meet production needs
  • Monitors all inbound/outbound shipments including LTL, small package, International, and DSV

Safety

  • Leads by example to maintain a safe working environment by working closely with management, enforcing company policies, and observing all safety and environmental guidelines

Other Duties

  • Supports the sales team as necessary in a variety of sample making and custom projects, and new product initiatives
  • Strives to continuously improve operational efficiency and quality of products
  • Develops a skilled and motivated staff by ensuring that employees receive training and development consistent with their job responsibilities
  • Coaches and leads our production team to success!
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred (Manufacturing, Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering or related field)
  • Proven 2-5 years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing facility
  • Consumer products packaging industry experience is a plus
  • Bottling and Filling experience is a plus
  • Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experienced in inventory control, time management, and quality control
  • Be able to work on your feet for an 8-hour shift and occasionally lift boxes up to 50 lbs.

References and a clear drug test (paid for by the company) will be required.
