1. STAGEHAND

SUMMARY

The Stagehand is responsible for performing all setup before, during, and after events which includes, but is not limited to, assembling and disassembling production equipment on stage. In addition, the Stagehand will work closely with and assist carpenters with scenery build, installation, video, sound and light production.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assembling and setting up at the beginning of the scene (i.e. props, microphones, musical instruments, scenery, etc), disassembling and removing equipment at the end of the scene in addition to cleaning up the stage and backstage area after performances.
  • Load and unload equipment from trucks and set up equipment according to stage design while ensuring safety requirements are met.
  • Assist carpenters with scenery build and installation of stage maintenance, construct and paint set pieces, move and rearrange furniture.
  • Work closely with electricians and lighting assistants with maintenance of video, sound, and light production.
  • Ensure operations of systems are functioning properly.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience.
  • Previous experience with manual labor preferred.
  • Forklift and heavy machinery certified.
  • Must have a valid driver's license if venue location requires driving.
  • Must be able to take direction and execute instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

2. STAGEHAND CREW CHIEF

SUMMARY

The Stagehand Crew Chief is responsible for overseeing the stagehand crew to assign tasks and effectively load in and load out during the show's production while ensuring all safety requirements are met. This position will ensure all events load out smoothly and all equipment are functioning properly during production.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee stagehand crew to efficiently load in and load out during production ensuring safety requirements and timeline are met.
  • Assign tasks to crew with assembling/disassembling props, audio and lighting equipment, and other show equipment related to the show's production to ensure operational efficiency and equipment are functioning properly.
  • Maintain the stage and work area during events alongside any incoming shows.
  • Ensure all events load out smoothly. Responsible for cleanup, disassembling and removing equipment at the end of show's production.
  • Manage crew's time and attendance ensuring appropriate breaks and meals are taken in accordance with local wage and hour laws.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities and comply with company policies and procedures regarding operational machinery by going through proper safety trainings and training team members on the use of safe and efficient operation of equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of related work experience.
  • Previous experience with manual labor preferred.
  • Forklift and heavy machinery certified.
  • Must have a valid driver's license if venue location requires driving.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in team building.
  • Must be able to take direction and execute instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

3. STAGE MANAGER

SUMMARY

The Stage Manager will oversee the on-stage production and direct the stage crew by assigning duties and ensure maintenance of the stage and work area for events. This position will ensure operations of systems are functioning properly during the show while ensuring the safety of all local staff, artists, and patrons with respect to all production elements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee on-stage production and communicate any changes to run of show or other planned production elements to other departments (i.e. Operations Manager, General Manager, Security).
  • Call show cues for audio and lighting as needed and ensure operations of systems (i.e. lighting, sound, video, etc.) are functioning properly.
  • Ensure the stage crew maintains the stage and work area for events while ensuring adherence to all SFFD, OSHA, and ADA requirements in addition to the safety of all local and touring staff, artists, patrons with respect to all production elements.
  • Oversee and manage load in and load out operation of multiple artists productions in addition to artist trucks and vehicles coming and going to loading dock.
  • Direct the work of Stagehands by assigning duties such as assembling and disassembling of equipment at the beginning and end of performances, loading and unloading of equipment, and managing time and attendance in addition to scheduling breaks in accordance to local wage and hour laws.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Forklift and heavy machinery certified.
  • Must have a valid driver's license if venue location requires driving.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/ADA laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional management or leadership background with demonstrated success in team building.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

4. PRODUCTION RUNNER

SUMMARY

The Production Runner is responsible for assisting and transporting event materials to and from the venue or event in a safe and efficient manner. This position is the "go to" person for various production and artist requests to fulfill production needs and the artist rider.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect, transport, and deliver equipment, supplies, and materials to and from the venue.
  • Run various errands by foot, bike, vehicle, or public transportation at various distances.
  • Make purchases for the show and venue as needed for event needs as directed by the production manager or supervisor.
  • Assist the production office with administrative duties including making signage, drafting correspondence, and taking inventory.
  • Perform other various duties as required or requested from supervisor to fulfill show needs and artist rider.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience
  • Must be able to take direction and execute instruction accurately
  • Must have valid driver's license if venue location requires driving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • May be required to drive a rented or company vehicle and must meet state requirements regarding rental vehicles
  • Previous live music production experience is a plus

5. GOLF CART STAFF

SUMMARY

Golf Cart Staff will be responsible for checking and reviewing driver's license for the distribution and operation of golf carts and work closely with Artist Liaisons to ensure artists get to and from the stages. Additionally, this position will ensure maintenance and proper usage of golf carts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Check and review driver's license for distribution and operation of golf carts. Ensure driver's license is valid and track and record information.
  • Work closely with Golf Cart Dispatch as a back up for Artist Liaisons to ensure artists get to and from specified locations
  • Transport staff, artists or VIP guests to and from different locations on site and off site in a courteous, safe and efficient manner. Follow golf cart regulations set by festival.
  • Ensure maintenance and proper use of golf carts. Set up, monitor, and maintain driving range operations. Clean, restock and recharge or refuel golf carts after each use.
  • Assist Golf Cart Manager with day to day operations such as scheduling of Artist Liaisons in advance of their artists getting to and from specified locations.
  • Assist with managing golf cart concierge program for VIP and guests by training golf cart drivers on routes and festival safety and checking in at golf cart stops to ensure expectations of the guests are met.
  • May be responsible for scheduling, ensuring breaks are taken, providing training, and enforcing rules for junior staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Mechanical experience with golf carts preferred.

6. CATERING STAFF

SUMMARY

The Catering Staff will assist the kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals. Additionally, the Catering Staff will prep ingredients, maintain refreshment availability, while ensuring maintenance, cleanliness, and sanitation in the kitchen area.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with production catering staff and assist kitchen in preparing meals, prepping ingredients, serving production meals, and maintaining refreshment availability such as beverages.
  • Responsible for maintenance, cleanliness, and sanitation in the kitchen area and working station; clean and sanitize working surfaces, tools, utensils; stocking all necessary supplies after production.
  • Safely and correctly operate all kitchen equipment.
  • Responsible for food pick up as necessary and ensuring all food items are in stock.
  • Assist with other catering and kitchen tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum 1 year of related work experience.
  • ServSafe Food Safety certification.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work safely with a variety of kitchen equipment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to approximately 25 lbs.
  • Previous experience in the restaurant industry preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
