Job Description
Society Awards possesses large scale UV printing equipment of various kinds, mostly Mimaki brand, and various lasers of different types, wattage and capabilities, as well as 3D laser etching, and a variety of sand carving, 3D printing machines, CNC routers and cutters, and a growing assortment of similar personalization / decoration equipment at our facility in Grove, Oklahoma.
We are looking for a graphic artist with experience in preparing files for production by similar equipment, in troubleshooting and adapting files created by others to the various equipment, in fine-tuning the translation from the files, the software whether AI or Corel, to the various equipment, to produce the intended results.
Experience or a natural aptitude for 3D printing is a plus, but the role primarily is focused on the 2D results of full color printing on various substrates, lasers and masks. The role may assist with preparation for basic CNC machining, but there is no expectation for engineering in complex multi-axis CNC machining. This is a graphic designer production artist role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Address print production issues by identifying the cause and finding a solution to produce the intended results
- The on-site graphic artist can assist our production specialists to unlock and explore new capabilities with the equipment
- Participate with file creation and setup along with the rest of the large graphic design team
Requirements
- High school or equivalent
- 2-3 Years experience in print production or related field
- 2+ Years Adobe Illustrator
- 1-2 Years CorelDraw
- Technical drawing and dimensioning experience
- Excellent attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
